  Turquoise has been mined in China for over 2,000 years, and Hubei is a large producer of high-quality turquoise in China, with deposits found during the search for iron ore. 

• Appearance:

  Hubei turquoise can range in color from deep greens to dark blues, with the most sought-after color being dark blue with intricate spider-webbing.
